Run it, send your Strava link, unlock the medal — free.

South Pointe Park sits at the southern tip of Miami Beach, where the ocean meets Government Cut. From the park, the beachfront path runs north along the Atlantic. The Park Mile route follows it for about 4 miles, from South Pointe up to Indian Beach Park — sand, palms and ocean on your right the whole way.

The route

  • Distance: about 4.0 miles from South Pointe Park to Indian Beach Park (one way).
  • Terrain: flat paved path and boardwalk right behind the beach.
  • Getting back: run it back for 8 miles, or finish at Indian Beach Park and grab a ride.

Tips

  • Go at sunrise: it's cooler, calmer and the light over the ocean is unbeatable.
  • Carry water — there's little shade and Miami humidity is real.
  • The path is shared with walkers; keep right and be patient near the busy blocks.

How to unlock the South Pointe Park medal

  1. Run the route above — any pace counts, walk breaks included.
  2. Copy your Strava activity link (or a link to a screenshot of your watch or phone).
  3. Submit it on the Park Mile Passport page. Once approved, the South Pointe Park medal unlocks in your passport. It's free.
