The Scioto Mile is the heart of downtown Columbus running: a riverfront loop past fountains, parks and bridges on both banks of the Scioto River.
The route
- Distance: about 3.1 miles — a riverfront 5K.
- Terrain: flat paved paths and bridges.
- Extend it: continue south to Scioto Audubon Metro Park.

- Kids play in the Bicentennial Park fountain in summer.
