Run it, send your Strava link, unlock the medal — free.

Memorial Park is the center of Houston running, and the Seymour Lieberman Exercise Trail is its most famous loop: 2.9 miles of crushed granite under the trees. Early mornings, it's the busiest running spot in the city.

The route

  • Distance: 2.9-mile loop.
  • Terrain: crushed granite, flat and well shaded.
  • Amenities: restrooms and water fountains along the way.

Tips

  • Run it in either direction — just follow local trail etiquette and keep to your side.
  • Parking fills up on weekend mornings; arrive early.
  • Two loops = almost a 10K.

How to unlock the Memorial Park medal

  1. Run the route above — any pace counts, walk breaks included.
  2. Copy your Strava activity link (or a link to a screenshot of your watch or phone).
  3. Submit it on the Park Mile Passport page. Once approved, the Memorial Park medal unlocks in your passport. It's free.
