Liberty Park is Salt Lake City's most loved running spot: a shaded outer loop around the second-largest park in the city, with a pond, the Tracy Aviary and mountain views.
The route
- Distance: about 1.4 miles for the outer loop.
- Terrain: flat, soft path and sidewalk under big trees.
- Extend it: repeat the loop — most local runners do 2 or 3 laps.
Tips
- The city sits at about 4,300 ft — take it easy the first time.
- Early mornings are cool and quiet.
- Water fountains along the loop in season.
How to unlock the Liberty Park medal

- Connect Strava once, or upload the GPX file from your watch (Garmin, Coros, Apple Watch…).
- We verify your run by GPS and the Liberty Park medal unlocks in your Park Mile Passport automatically — with your distance, time and pace. It's free.
