Run it, send your Strava link, unlock the medal — free.

Chastain Park is Buckhead's biggest park and a favorite for runners thanks to its PATH trail — a 3.1-mile loop that circles the park, the golf course and the neighborhood around it. That's a 5K, measured for you.

The route

  • Distance: 3.1 miles — a full 5K loop.
  • Terrain: paved PATH trail with gentle hills.
  • Good for: 5K time trials and steady tempo runs.

Tips

  • The loop is popular with walkers and strollers on weekends — early mornings are quieter.
  • Concert nights at the amphitheater bring heavy traffic and parking limits.
  • Great spot to test your 5K pace before race day.

How to unlock the Chastain Park medal

  1. Run the route above — any pace counts, walk breaks included.
  2. Copy your Strava activity link (or a link to a screenshot of your watch or phone).
  3. Submit it on the Park Mile Passport page. Once approved, the Chastain Park medal unlocks in your passport. It's free.
