Bayfront Park is downtown Miami's front yard: 32 acres of palms and lawns right on Biscayne Bay, with the skyline behind you. The Park Mile route is a loop of about 1 mile through the park and along the water — the easiest medal in Miami.

The route

  • Distance: about 1.0 mile around the park.
  • Terrain: flat paved paths.
  • Extend it: connect to the Baywalk and keep going north along the bay for as many miles as you like.

Tips

  • A perfect first medal for new runners, visitors and lunch-break runs.
  • Events sometimes close parts of the park — check before you go.
  • Stay for sunrise over the bay.

How to unlock the Bayfront Park medal

  1. Run the route above — any pace counts, walk breaks included.
  2. Copy your Strava activity link (or a link to a screenshot of your watch or phone).
  3. Submit it on the Park Mile Passport page. Once approved, the Bayfront Park medal unlocks in your passport. It's free.
